Our Puppy Parents
Sasha
Sasha is a 3-year-old AKC-registered Bernese Mountain Dog. She is a high-energy affectionate dog, and is very attached to her mate MacIntosh. Her first litter was born on Easter Sunday, 3/31/24 - she had 2 males and 1 female. Sasha took to her babies immediately, and is an excellent mother. She enjoys all the extra attention and food she gets as a nursing Mom. She has become renowned for putting her babies back in their bed so she can hog all the extra attention for herself!
MacIntosh
MacIntosh is a 3-year-old AKC-registered Chocolate Standard Poodle. He has a sweet laid-back personality, is passive with the girls, and is very smart. He is the proud Father of Sasha's first litter, born Easter Sunday, 3/31/24. He is wonderful with other dogs, and equally enjoys spending time with Sasha and Penny, separately. Sasha and MacIntosh have been together since they were puppies, and were just recently separated while Sasha tends to her first litter. He is enjoying getting to know Penny, who is expected to have her first litter this July.
Penny
Penny is a 2-year-old AKC-registered Golden Retriever. She is high-energy and very playful. Her specialty is fetching, and chewing things up. Penny and Sasha are involved in a love triangle with MacIntosh. Both females are very jealous of the time the other spends with our handsome boy. Her first litter is expected to be born this July. We are currently accepting additions to the waiting list for first puppy picks!
About the breed
The loveavble BerneDoodle
The Standard Bernedoodle is a cross between the Bernese Mountain Dog and the Standard Poodle. Their adult weight is 60-85 pounds, and their coats range from wavy to curly, and tends to be low-shedding. This hybrid combines the virtues of both parent breeds - the intelligence and sweetness of the poodle, with the loyalty and playfulness of the Bernese, making it the perfect family dog. Strong and robust with a compact and powerful body, they love to play and make great running companions. Because of their high energy nature they need some space to run and play, but they also enjoy couch lounging with their owners. Bernedoodles are responsive and loving. They make loyal family members, and tend to be good-natured with children and other pets, especially if acquired as puppies. Intelligent and social, they are fast becoming a favorite family dog. Goofy and playful, they are good at running, fetching, swimming, and are highly trainable. This breed is fairly hypoallergenic so there isn't usually much of a problem with shedding or dander, however they should be regularly groomed or brushed to help manage their curly locks. Bernedoodles tend to live longer than Bernese Mountain Dogs, thanks to the influence of the Poodle genes.
The amicable GoldenDoodle
The GoldenDoodle is a hybrid breed created from a Golden Retriever and a Poodle. They are known for their outgoing nature, friendly personality, and intelligence and are one of the most popular breeds in the country. They have soft coats that range from wavy to curly. They are often described as being allergy-friendly, or at least more so than other breeds. One word describes the typical Goldendoodle personality - friendly! Goldendoodles are known for being happy, outgoing, and people-pleasing, and tend to get along with everybody including other dogs and children as well. This gives them a great reputation as a family dog. They're happy, playful, patient, and have great stamina when running around with children.
Goldendoodles have moderate energy levels and live to be around their humans. That means that whether you live in an apartment or a house with a large yard, your Goldendoodle will thrive with daily exercise alongside the people they love. In other words, they’ll need some long walks! Their retriever genes make for a great fetching dog, so a fenced yard is a great thing for them to have. They can also live in apartments as long as they have access to outdoor activities like walks, runs, hikes, and swims. They need outdoor play time, but shouldn’t stay outside all day. The equally love their couch time, and snuggling in bed with their humans!
